Pirate Nightwing Debuts High Fashion for the High Seas in New Art

Possible spoilers for Nightwing #107! Nightwing’s next adventure takes him to the high seas as a pirate. The latest in the character’s ongoing series, Nightwing #105 is told entirely from his perspective as he enjoys teaming up with Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl. In the next edition, the former prodigy will experience a whole new adventure. The cover for Nightwing 107 by Tom Taylor and Daniele Di Nicuolo, by Eisner Award-winning cover artist Bruno Redondo, was unveiled at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. Redondo posted the cover via Twitter when possible. See them below: The covers (one in daylight, the other at night) feature Dick Grayson in his Nightwing mask and flowing white shirt, hanging from a rope on what appears to be a large ship. Nightwing #107 is currently scheduled for release on October 17th. More information on the call, including a synopsis of the issue, can be found below:

After the end of “Blue Beetle”, Jaime Reyes allied with an alien scarab named Kaji Da, and the two lieutenants stated: After defeating Carapax and Victoria Cord, in a post-credits scene, it was revealed that his predecessor, Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle, was still alive. Since Ted disappeared when Victoria took over the company a few years ago, even his daughter Jenny (Bruna Marquezine) did not know where Ted had gone. However, in Ted’s secret base, a recorded video, albeit corrupted, is played, confirming that he is still alive and stating that he had a message for his daughter. Of course, Ted can now be seen in a possible Blue Beetle 2 and elsewhere in the new DCU. Ted Kord, the second Blue Bug, is completely different from the first Bug, Dan Garrett and Jaime Reyes. Both were chosen by the Scarab and given its powers. Instead, Ted relied on his fortune to develop crime-fighting devices and vehicles before his mysterious disappearance. With some of his weapons on display, it would certainly be exciting to see Ted himself in the new DCU. Now that Reyes has accepted his new role in the Cajda, he may become Jamie’s mentor.
