Green Arrow’s various looks are back, but not in the way Oliver Queen would have hoped. An upcoming comic book cover shows the emerald archer struggling with various looks over the years. October has plenty of intriguing storylines in store for DC fans. DC Comics’ fall slate includes an ambitious new crossover called Justice League vs. Godzilla. Not to mention Kong and the second half of the Gotham War crossover between Batman and Catwoman. But even standalone titles like Green Arrow have intriguing premises that could attract longtime fans. Oliver Queens from the past, present and future battle it out to see who can return home! But at what cost? Arsenal and Black Canary get help from an unexpected ally in their search for Amanda Waller, uncovering a big piece of DC’s dawn puzzle. Looking at the promo for Green Arrow  5 by Joshua Williamson, Sean Izaakse and Phil Hester, it sounds like Oliver is in a tough spot. All of the numerous Green Arrows in DC’s history want to return home, but only one gets the chance. As Oliver lies low, his bow is snapped by the post-Crisis Green Arrow. He joins Oliver’s counterparts from the Golden Age, New 52, ​​late ’90s-early 2000s, “The Longbow Hunters” and “Year One” storylines in taking Oliver’s place and trying to get home.

Since the Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, Green Arrow finds himself in a difficult position. Thanks to Amanda Waller’s high-tech implant, Oliver jumps through time and space. Oliver has always had his own way and has often hurt people in his life. Luckily, he’s grown since then and no longer takes the people in his life for granted. But for Oliver to have any hope of returning, he’ll need to confront his past, as literally as possible, and prove that he’s reformed.

Green Arrow Must Confront His Past to Move On

Not all heroes are perfect. His arrow, Green, is the first to admit that he has made many mistakes in his life. Oliver recognizes what he has done to those he loves and the sins associated with different points in his life. But Oliver has a chance to prove that he has overcome his mistakes by defeating the physical manifestations of his past. Not only will Oliver earn the right to go home, he will know that he has truly become the best version of himself. Fans can find out what happens when Queen confronts her past in Green Arrow 5, in stores on October 24th.
