Last Man in Tower is reported to premiere on ZEE5 on 6 November 2026, after a cinema release on 11 September 2026. This guide answers the streaming question first, then covers the theatrical run, the cast, the crew and the link to Aravind Adiga’s 2011 novel. Where sources disagree, the text names the source and says so. No named critic reviews have been checked for this guide, so it does not describe critical opinion.

Last Man in Tower ZEE5 Release Date

Bollywood Hungama reports that the Hindi film will premiere on ZEE5 on 6 November. Pragativadi quotes a ZEE5 social media post giving the same date, and Filmeshilmy also gives 6 November. The date is consistent across these reports, so it is the detail to rely on.

The platform label is less consistent. Filmeshilmy describes the stream as ‘ZEE5 Global’ in its headline and text, while the other reports name ZEE5 without the Global tag. This guide uses plain ZEE5 and treats the Global label as unresolved. Check the platform listing before relying on the label.

Theatrical Release: 11 September 2026

District and Filmibeat both list the theatrical release date as 11 September 2026, so the film reached cinemas before its streaming premiere. Bollywood Hungama’s cast page reports a censor date of 7 September 2026. That date is reported rather than confirmed. Filmibeat gives the runtime as 97 minutes.

The sources checked do not report a rating or box-office figures, so this guide does not cover either.

Cast and Characters

The lead cast is Manoj Bajpayee, Divya Dutta and Boman Irani. The roles, as reported, are:

  • Manoj Bajpayee plays Yogesh Mishra, according to Bollywood Hungama’s cast page.
  • Divya Dutta is described by Bollywood Hungama’s news report as a housewife seeking a better life for her special-needs son. The same report names the character Sangita Puri. Other listings may spell the name differently, and the sources checked do not settle which spelling appears in the credits.
  • Boman Irani plays developer Dharmen Shah, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.

Sukant Goel, Harish Khanna, Sarika Singh and Ujjwal Chopra appear in the cast listings from District and Bollywood Hungama. The sources checked do not report their roles, so this guide does not assign any.

Crew: Director, Screenplay and Producers

Bollywood Hungama and Filmibeat both name Ben Rekhi as director. Filmeshilmy reports Sooni Taraporevala as screenwriter. Filmibeat lists Juhi Chaturvedi as dialogue writer, Govind Vasantha for music and Rangarajan Ramabadran for cinematography.

Spirit Media is the production company. Bollywood Hungama’s news report identifies it as Rana Daggubati’s banner, and Filmeshilmy and Filmibeat also name Spirit Media as the production company. Bollywood Hungama’s cast page and Filmibeat list Rana Daggubati, Guneet Dogra, Pratiksha Rao and Ben Rekhi as producers.

The Novel and the Premise

Filmeshilmy and Bollywood Hungama report that the film is adapted from Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name. According to the Wikipedia page for the novel, the book is an English-language work published in 2011. That page is the only reference used here for the book’s publication details. The sources do not describe how closely the film follows the novel, so this guide makes no claim on that point.

Filmeshilmy and Bollywood Hungama describe the premise as a redevelopment proposal in an ageing Mumbai housing society, one that strains relationships among residents. That is the only story detail the sources support, so this guide does not go further into the plot.

Spoiler note: no ending or late plot detail is given here.

Where to Watch

ZEE5 is the platform named in the sources for the Hindi film, with one report adding a Global tag. To plan a viewing:

  1. Open ZEE5 and search for Last Man in Tower.
  2. Check that the listing is set to Hindi, as the film is a Hindi-language production.
  3. Confirm that the title is available in your region from 6 November 2026.

The sources checked do not state which subscription the film requires or which territories the premiere covers, so these details need checking on the platform.
