The Haiwaan OTT release date is still a reported date, not an official one. Some weekly roundups and news reports give 6 November 2026 for streaming, and several outlets name SonyLIV as the platform. Neither the makers nor SonyLIV has confirmed either detail in the sources we reviewed. This guide separates what is reported from what is confirmed, explains the timing, and sets out a checklist to use before you plan a viewing.

Hindi summary: हैवान का OTT रिलीज़ डेट 6 नवंबर 2026 बताया गया है, लेकिन इसकी आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं हुई है।

What the November 6 date means

The 6 November 2026 date comes from weekly OTT roundups and news coverage rather than from an official notice. The pages we reviewed do not point to an announcement from the producers or from SonyLIV. A single day repeated across several articles is a useful pointer, but repetition is not confirmation, and copies of one claim can look like independent sources.

Coverage also differs in focus. M9 News asks whether major platforms turned the film down. That is a question about the deal, not the date. We have not verified the answer, so this guide does not treat that report as settling the matter.

Where to watch Haiwaan online: the SonyLIV reports

SonyLIV is the platform most reports name. Esquire India, India TV News, Flick On Click and NewsBytes each name it in the sources we reviewed. That makes platform reporting more consistent than date reporting, though consistency is not confirmation.

We did not find a verified SonyLIV listing, press release or official statement naming a platform for the film. Until SonyLIV lists the title itself, treat it as the reported platform. If you see another service named, check it against the same kind of official source before believing it.

Why the streaming window points to early November

The arithmetic behind the date is simple, but it rests on an assumption. The theatrical date used here is 11 September 2026, and our sources do not verify it. If that date is correct, eight weeks later falls on 6 November. This calculation may explain why the reported date looks plausible, but it is not evidence of an agreed release window.

We found no published terms for any theatrical-to-streaming arrangement for Haiwaan, so we cannot say whether an eight-week gap matches what the makers or the platform agreed. Release-to-streaming gaps vary from film to film. Only SonyLIV or the producers can set the launch day, so the calculation should be read as a rough guide only.

How critics have received the film

Wikipedia describes the film’s critical reception as mixed to negative. It also quotes NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee, who gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. NewsBytes calls the reviews largely negative in one report. These are the only critical-reception claims this guide makes.

We have no verified box office figures for Haiwaan, so this guide does not report earnings. Collection numbers circulating online should be checked against a named trade source before you rely on them.

Haiwaan cast, story and Oppam remake background

According to IMDb, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan lead the cast. Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi and Asrani appear in supporting roles. Priyadarshan directed the film. Wikipedia credits him and Rohan Shankar with the screenplay, alongside Abilash Nair, and credits Rohan Shankar with the dialogue.

IMDb also lists Mohanlal in its top cast, and some reports describe him as a cameo. The size of his role is not confirmed in our sources, so we do not treat him as a confirmed cameo.

Wikipedia and NewsBytes describe Haiwaan as an official Hindi remake of Oppam, the 2016 Malayalam film. IMDb gives the premise as a blind martial artist who protects a young girl from a psychopathic killer. This section goes no further than that premise, so it contains no spoilers. IMDb also lists the title as ‘Khiladi of Hells’, which may help if a search for Haiwaan returns unrelated results.

How to confirm the Haiwaan OTT date and platform

Check these three points before you act on any date.

  1. SonyLIV’s own listing. Search for the title in the SonyLIV app or on its website. A live title page is the strongest confirmation available. If it is missing, the title is not yet listed there, whatever an article says.
  2. The makers’ announcements. Check the verified social accounts of director Priyadarshan and the producers, named on Wikipedia as Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn, for any streaming notice.
  3. Third-party date pages. If a page gives only a theatrical date and no platform, treat it as not an OTT listing.

Recheck SonyLIV before planning a viewing, and update this guide if an official notice appears.
